Climbing equipment checkout and the entrance to the climbing wall are located on the concourse level of the ARC.

Open Climbing  Climbing Programs

Located in the Instructional Kitchen (entrance on the concourse level of the ARC). A reservation is required for the first hour of operation.

About Food Assistance
 

Refer to the following calendars for court availability at the ARC.

• ARC Gym 1 Court Availability*
  • *May 11 - August 23: Due to scheduled renovations, Gym 1 will be closed.
    • Open recreation basketball will be available in Gym 2
    • Open recreation badminton and pickleball will be available in Gym 3
    • Open recreation volleyball will be available in Gym 3 Tuesdays, Thursdays, and after 5pm on Wednesdays

Reserve Courts in Gym 2 & 3

Due to staff training, scheduled events, intramural activities, etc., parts of the pool may be closed for open swim with little to no notice.

*Thursday, June 4 - Sunday, June 7: Due to scheduled repairs, the ARC Indoor Pool will be closed.

Lap Swimming  Aquatics Programs

The outdoor pool will not open if there is inclement weather or if the Accuweather “Real Feel” temperature is below 60 degrees in Champaign. Opening decisions will be made by the Aquatics staff at the top of each hour following a delay and the indoor pool will serve as a backup swimming location.

*Friday, May 15 - Sunday, May 17: Due to convocation ceremonies taking place in the facility, the ARC will be closed to the general public.

**Monday, May 25: In observance of Memorial Day, the ARC will be closed.

Lap Swimming  Aquatics Programs

Located on the main level of CRCE, underneath the main staircase. A reservation is required for pickups.

About Food Assistance

Priority will be given to leisure activities over lap swimming during open swim hours. While our staff will try and accommodate lap swimmers as often as we can (dependent on usage), we cannot always guarantee space for lap swimming.
