Active Illini Day Camp engages participants in active and collaborative programming throughout each day of camp. Activities are always structured by camp staff and include but are not limited to, recreational sports, swimming, rock-climbing, independent and organized crafts, board games/puzzles, and instructional cooking/nutrition exercises. Your child will participate in these activities both in groups and independently, providing social and individual skills development. Daily activities will be held both indoors and outdoors (weather dependent). Our intention is to ease the stress of your family’s summer months by providing parents with safe and reliable childcare and providing our campers with engaging and FUN programming!

Active Illini Day Camp also takes weekly field trips around the Urbana campus, giving your camper the opportunity to experience many of the wonderful amenities and people the university has to offer. More information about field trips will be forthcoming!

Campers will be split into four age groups:

  • 5-6 years old: Lil’Illini
  • 7-8 years old: Orange Group
  • 9-10 years old: Blue Group
  • 11-12 years old: Illini Group

  • Lunch: Campers are required to bring their lunch M-T and TH-F every week. While at the ARC every Wednesday, campers will walk across the street to Ikenberry Dining Hall where lunch will be provided.
