Activities & Programming

Active Illini Day Camp engages participants in active, collaborative, and educational programming throughout the day. Your camper will participate in group and independent activities, providing social and individual skills development. Daily activities will be held both indoors and outdoors (weather dependent). Recreational programming, such as games, sports, and movement-based play, is balanced with laid-back activities such as puzzles, crafts, and reading.

Active Illini Day Camp also takes weekly field trips around the UIUC campus, giving your camper the opportunity to experience many of the wonderful amenities and people the university has to offer. More information about field trips will be forthcoming!

Campers are split into three age groups:

  • 5-6 years old: Orange
  • 7-9 years old: Blue
  • 10-12 years old: Illini

Food

  • Lunch: Campers are required to bring their lunch Monday-Thursday of every week. While at the ARC every Friday, campers will walk across the street to the Ikenberry Dining Hall where lunch will be provided.
  • Snacks: Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided. Alternative snack options will be provided to campers with allergies or dietary restrictions.
  • Nut policy: We will not be enforcing a no-nut policy at Active Illini Day Camp.
