Registered Student Organizations (RSOs)

A new process critical to how student orgs spend their funds on campus is the Student Org Purchase Request process. All student orgs desiring to spend their funds on spaces, venues, and products on campus will be required to submit a purchase request. On-campus vendors/departments have been instructed to not provide services to student orgs unless they have received the appropriate Approved Purchase Request. Once you receive a message from the Student Org Finance Center (SOFC) indicating your Purchase Request has been approved, you are required to provide that proof to the corresponding unit in which you wish to hold your program.

Purchase Request
  1. Log into the Involved@Illinois platform. 
  2. Access your student org’s profile by clicking on the organization listed under Membership. Then click on Manage Organization. 
  3. Open the Organization Tools by clicking on the three small bars located to the left of the organization’s name in the upper left-hand corner. 
  4. Click on Finance, then click on the blue Create New Request button, then select Create Purchase Request. 
Event Request

All organizations are required to register their events. To submit a space request:

  1. Log into the Involved@Illinois platform. 
  2. In the upper right-hand corner next yo your initials or profile pic, click on the nine dots in a square and select Manage.
  3. Click your organization.
  4. On your RSO profile page, click on the three lines to the left of your organization’s name and select Events.
  5. Once on the Manage Events page, click on the + Create Event in the upper right-hand corner.
  6. Complete the form in its entirety.
  7. All student organizations will be required to complete this form for their events and space requests.
  8. An important addition is that of the Safety Management Plan (Safety Protocol).
  9. Do not cut and past Safety Management Plan questions and answers.
  10. Just insert information from your organization on how you will maintain the safety of the event attendees.

These will be reviewed and forwarded to the corresponding facility.

Campus Departments and Community Rental Requests

RSOs should follow the directions above. Do not fill out the rental request PDF below.

The following instructions apply to campus departments and community organizations only.

  1. Download the Rental Request (pdf), complete it, and return to the ARC (or to the Ice Arena for Ice Arena rentals) at least 2 weeks in advance of the requested date(s) to be considered.

Non-Student Groups
