Staff in Outdoor Adventure Recreation primarily operate the climbing wall at the ARC. The entry level position is a Customer Service Assistant. They often work as belay technicians and work with users and renters of the climbing wall. They also operate the point of sale system to assist members who wish to rent outdoor equipment such as tents, canoes, and backpacks. You MUST have previous experience with rock climbing.
Customer Service Assistants
- Assist patrons by staffing the adventure center and assisting with equipment rental, trip reservations, and providing basic knowledge of outdoor activities.
- Assist with operation of the climbing wall; CSAs demonstrate proper safety and training techniques to potential patrons; set routes and assist with belaying patrons as needed.
- This is a security-sensitive position and requires completion of a background check before beginning work.
